SEALY - From Nov.
14–16, the Webelos Den of Columbus attended the annual Trail to Troop campout at Camp Brosig in Sealy. Packs and Girls, and Boys Troops from across the Davy Crockett District came together for a weekend of outdoor skills, friendly competition, and scouting spirit. Scouts participated in a wide range of events, including knots, fire build ing, team challenges, Dutch oven cooking, campsite inspection, orienteering and compass reading, archery, BB guns, first aid, and plant identification.
Columbus Pack 312’s Webelos earned third place in the knots competition, which required scouts to race against the clock: tying ropes together with square knots, securing them with half hitches, tossing an elongated rope to a teammate, forming a bowline around themselves, and being pulled to safety.
Trail to Troop is an annual program hosted by Scouting America organization, offering Cub Scouts, Girls Troops, and Boys Troops opportunities to build confidence, learn outdoor skills, and connect with fellow Scouts across the district.
