Truck fire brought quickly under control

The driver attempted to extinguish the fire with a portable Columbus Volunteer Fire Department recently responded to the Westbound Rest Area regard- extinguisher but was unsuccessful. There were no injuries reported. The engine compartment caught on fire but was quickly brought under control by CVFD. Assisting on the scene were the Colorado County Sheriff's Office and the Bernardo VFD Fire Chief, who was in the area

at the time.
