COLORADO COUNTY - By Jan. 1, 2026, new orange colored Voter Registration
Certificates will be mailed to all currently registered
voters.
These certificates will be valid from Jan. 1, 2026, through Dec. 31, 2027, and will replace any previous voter registration cards. Because they are mailed with the postmark
"RETURN SERVICE REQUESTED,"they cannot be forwarded if a voter’s address has changed. In such cases, the Post Office will return the certificate to the County Elections Office, and affected voters will receive a letter with instructions on how to update their registration. If you recently made changes to your voter registration, you may receive both the old card and a newly issued replacement. The Elections Office cannot make changes to a voter’s record without written authorization.
If you have not received your new card or a letter by the end of January, you should contact the Elections Office or check your registration status at VoteTexas.gov.
These updates are part of preparations for the March 3, 2026, primary election. For more information, visit the Colorado County Elections website or call the elections office at 979-732- 6860.
