COLUMBUS — A blood drive, in memory of Jacob Warschak, of Columbus, is set for Saturday, Dec.
13, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Columbus City Council Chambers, 605 Spring St., Columbus. Giving blood is an act that one can do to help others in a critical time in their lives.
Warschak will not be able to benefit directly from this blood drive, but the family came to understand the importance of blood donations for patients after Warschak experienced a brief and sudden illness, which required multiple transfusions and ultimately took his life.
The family wants the community to join in his leg- acy through the selfless act of kindness with a blood donation.
Successful donors will receive a Gulf Coast Blood item as their way of saying thanks.
