FCSO names three deputies for Deputy of the Quarter
Four Fayette County Sheriff’s deputies were named as Deputy of the Quarter by Sheriff Keith Korenek for their professional effort in working a recent aggravated assault in the Clear Lake Pines Subdivision. LA GRANGE — Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reported that the Deputy of the Quarter award for this quarter is being presented to Investigator Sergeant Angela Lala, Investigator Jeremy Castleberry, the Narcotics Investigation unit, and deputies Wesly Arrison and Ty Roggen- kamp. These deputies were se lected due to their performance in responding to and investigating a case on Nov. 6.

Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the Clear Lake Pines Subdivision near Winchester, after a homeowner reported a severely injured male on her front porch.

Deputies arrived and located a male victim, covered in blood and suffering from a gunshot wound.

An investigation was conducted by the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Di - vision and the Texas Rangers. Evi dence and investigative leads iden- tified Norman Robert Hicks, 20, as the suspect in the shooting. In vestigators determined that Hicks also resided within the Clear Lake Pines Subdivision. Hicks was ar rested and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Aggravated Robbery, and Tam- pering with Physical Evidence.

Korenek was proud to acknowledge the effort and contribution of these personnel for their outstanding performance in han- dling this case.
