Moreau announces bid for Fayette County Judge

Public service has shaped my entire adult life.

I retired as a Senior Captain with the Houston Fire Department. In difficult moments, I witnessed humanity on its hardest days.

As the Fayette County Chief of Emergency Management and Homeland Security, I learned what leadership looks like under pressure.

These lessons carried our county through the Ice Storm, Covid-19, and the Hostyn Church explosion.

As a non-profit CEO, I learned how to manage resources wisely, ensure accountability, and moving forward without waste.

I will complete my Masters in Legal Studies from Texas A&M University Law School this week! Returning to school was not the easy path, but it was the right one. I chose to strengthen my knowledge so I could better serve this community.

We have not had a County Judge with any type of law degree in decades. My legal education, combined with my experience and county leadership, gives me a practical and grounded perspective on how to guide Fayette County forward.

I have made mistakes that have been widely publicized. What matters most is learning from them. I am running for County Judge because I believe that those lessons, along with the grace that is helping me grow from them, can be put to work for the people.

Our community de- serves a judge who listens, who owns his past, and who uses it to make wiser, steadier decisions.

My faith in God is central to who I am. It has carried me through, humbled me, and reminded me that service is bigger than any one person. That faith guides my decisions, my priorities, and my commitment to this community.

Fayette County is strong, but has challenges. Families are feeling the strain of rising costs. Our taxes are growing unnecessarily.

I will work relentlessly to make Fayette County stronger, safer, and smarter by containing out-of-control spending and prioritizing and stewardship over politics.

This is my home. I’m eligible to run and to take the Oath of Office. I draw strength from faith, my unwavering wife, and our three kind, intelligent, and bold daughters.

Together, we can build a future worthy of the community we love and the next generation who will inherit it.
