The UIL Realignment for the years 2026 through
2028 is still yet to be announced and will come out in February 2026, but there are still some things to know before it’s announced.
As far as conference cutoffs, the 1A conference has an enrollment of 104.9 and below with 223 schools, 2A has a
105-245 enrollment with
225 schools, 3A has a 246--
549 enrollment with 232 schools, and 4A has a 550--
1304 enrollment with 224 schools.
The football conference cutoffs has 105--
175.5 enrollment with 102 schools for Class 2A-Division II, 175.6-245.9 enrollment with 103 schools for 2A-Division I, 246--
366.9 enrollment with 102 schools for 3A-Division II,
367-549 enrollment with
102 schools for 3A-Division I, 550-895 enrollment with 102 schools for
4A-Division II, and 896--
1304 enrollment with 103 schools for 4A-Division I.
Schulenburg is the only school in the tri-county that will change conferences. They will go from
2A to 3A. Schulenburg’s enrollment is 250.5 with UIL enrollment for 3A starting at 246.
