The Weimar High School girl’s basketball team kept their great season going with a blow out win vs Fayetteville High School Dec. 19 at Lions Gym in Fayetteville by a final score of 50-24.
Weimar held Fayetteville scoreless in the first quarter and kept the Lady Lions in sin - gle-digits for each of the rest of the three quarters.
The Lady Wildcats went on to score in double digits for those quarters and basically had the game sealed by the third quarter.
Weimar is really good, well-coached, and fundamentally sound, so it’s no surprise they came out and had a game like this.
For Fayetteville, they’re a good team too. They just ran into a team that’s been playing this kind of basketball for a long time while also playing up a class in 2A.
Fayetteville is still undefeated in district and working on getting their record above the .500 mark.
