Greater Fayette Community Foundation receives generous donation from Second Chance EmporiumLA GRANGE — Second Chance Emporium (SCE) recently donated $30,000 to the Greater Fayette Community Foundation, designated for the Alliance for College and Career Student Success (ACCSS) program at Blinn College. Monies donated will be used for the ACCSS dual credit scholarship program and/or workforce coursework scholarships for Fayette County students in need at partner campuses. Grant monies will also be used to support ACCSS special projects and recruitment events. ACCSS is a partnership between rural public school districts and Blinn College District, working together to share resources and to provide more dual credit opportunities and career pathways for students in their region. These partners will work collaboratively to provide academic and career resources, guidance and support necessary for students to complete a post-secondary or workforce career credential. On hand for the presentation include, from left, SCE Assistant Store Director Marlene Schnell, ACCSS Director Susie Shank and SCE Assistant Store Director Darlene Strahan. Courtesy photo
