Pete Garcia was recently named the Schulenburg Volunteer Fire- fighter of the Year for 2025. He has put in 20 years of service and exemplified the image of what a firefighter is: A dedicated, community- minded individual who puts his life on the line, voluntarily, every time the alarm goes off.
