The Rice High School boy’s basketball team has a record well above .500 and have reached the double digit win mark with recent wins against Ganado, Boling, and Danbury while winning these games all in a row.

They also had a five-game win streak a little earlier in the year with two of those wins coming against Flatonia and Brazos.

Rice is led by John Paul Hunter and Hunter has been there for a long time with a school that has great athletes just in general.

Rice is very athletic, especially in basketball, and then when you put a great basketball mind like Hunter at the helm, it’s only going to create a recipe for success.

This team is looking like a for sure playoff contender at the moment.
