LA GRANGE - The Bluebonnet Master Gardener Lunch-N-Learn educational program is a series of nine informational meetings designed to provide gardening or general landscaping for homeowners. Fayette County Master Gardeners plan and present a variety of information from experts in the area and across the state. This series is designed with the professional in mind. Bring your lunch and learn about a variety of topics that help you have a more productive garden, prettier flower beds, or how to better understand your landscape ecosystems. The topic this month, "Growing the Herb Garden," is scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 13, and the guest speakers will be Master Gardeners Bob Haeuser and Lisa Nicklow. Many herbs will grow here. Whether you want to grow the old faithful like rosemary and basil or experiment with more exotic ones, the Nicklow's will share hints and tips on best practices for growing indoors or out. Registration begins at 11:50 a.m. untill 12:05 p.m., and the program lasts untill 12:50 p.m. The Lunch-NLearn Series is held at the Fayette County Agricultural Building at 255 Svoboda Ln. in La Grange. All Master Gardener Lunch-NLearn programs are free to the public, and you are encouraged to bring your own lunch and drink. Light refreshments are available by master gardener hospitality hosts.
