AC 4-H Livestock Quiz Bowl team honored
The Austin County 4-H Livestock Quiz Bowl team was recently honored by Senator Lois Kolkhorst with Senate Resolution 712 from the 89th Legislature. The team traveled to the Western National Roundup contest in January of 2025 in Denver, Colo., and returned to Texas with the National Championship title. Team members also received awards for Champion High Point Individual - Madilyn McCullough and Fourth High Point Individual - Katelyn Krenek. Quiz Bowl members include, front row, from left, Katelyn Krenek and Katie Schumann; and, back row, Coach Janet Melnar, Darcy Luedke and Madilyn McCullough.
