Colorado County Crime Stoppers receives proclamation

COLUMBUS — The Colorado County Crime Stoppers received a proclamation from the Colorado County Commissioners Court on Jan. 12, in official recognition of Crime Stoppers Month in Colorado County for January.

Colorado County Crime Stoppers was established in 1981 to partner with county citizens and law enforcement in solving crimes through media awareness and cash rewards, while providing anonymity for citizens who wish to help solve crimes and contribute to the safety of their neighborhoods.

The proclamation stated the commissioners court fully supports the efforts of Colorado County Crime Stoppers.

Colorado County Crime Stoppers encourages citizens to be involved in crime prevention and each plays a vital role in helping communities to stay safe. Citizens can report information on crimes to https:// coloradocountycrimestoppers. com/, the 24-hour Tip Hotline at 1-866-522-8477 (TIPS), by texting “TIP4CASH” to 274637, or through the P3 Tips app. The reporting party remains anonymous.
