WHARTON David and Vic toria Pfuntner, former operators of Pfuntner Custom Homes LLC, have been indicted by a Wharton County grand jury in the 329th District Court following a multi-county investigation into al- leged financial misconduct.
The alleged construction-relat- ed financial misconduct involves projects in Austin, Colorado and Fayette counties, as well as Brazoria, Fort Bend and Wharton counties. The investigation alleges that approved construction funds were misused, leaving homes unfin ished and contractors unpaid. The company is no longer in operation.
The indictment is moving through the Wharton County courts and anyone who may be affected by the Pfuntner case is encouraged to contact local law enforcement.
