The Schulenburg High School boy’s basketball team has caught fire recently as they’ve won seven out of their last nine games and have a record well above .500. After starting at right around .500, this team has obviously figured it out and the Shorthorns have experience as well as great coaching with head coach Rich Hoogendoorn.
Hoogendoorn has been coaching Schulenburg for years now and has had tons of success. The success is now rubbing off on this year’s team while they have solid athletes and quality upperclassmen. Schulenburg is becoming a team that can make a run at the state title with the way they’re playing.
