BELLVILLE — The Austin County Sheriff’s Office announced the gen - erous donation of a trailer from D & L Farms of Cat Spring, provided by Dan and Linda White and their daughter, Elizabeth. This donation will enhance op - erational capabilities while providing lasting benefits to the citizens of Austin Coun -
ty.
The trailer will be uti - lized for multiple critical functions, including support at crime scenes and law en -
forcement callouts, serving as a command and oper - ational space for hostage negotiators, and providing deputies and first respond - ers with relief from the Texas heat during extended operations. The trailer will also be used at community out -
reach events to strengthen engagement and build rela -
tionships with the public.
"This donation rep - resents far more than a piece of equipment," said Sheriff Jack W. Brandes. "It is a true investment in public safety, officer well - ness, and community trust. The generosity shown by the White family and D & L Farms will benefit Austin County for many years to come." Brandes emphasized the countywide impact of the donation, noting that it will improve response ef -
ficiency while supporting deputies during demanding situations.
"We are incredibly thankful for the support of community partners who step forward in this way," Brandes said. "This trailer will help our deputies bet - ter serve and protect the citizens of Austin County, whether at a crime scene, a critical incident, or a com -
munity event."
