Education Conference offered
LA GRANGE - The seven hour Multi-County Early Childhood Education Conference will hold Saturday, Feb. 7 at the Randolph Recreation Center in La Grange.
This is a collaborative effort between the Multi-County Early Childhood Education Advisory Committee and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension's Family & Community Health Agents of Austin, Fayette, and Wharton counties.
A variety of guest speakers will offer sessions which will include "Finding the Math in Play, Talk, & Curiosity," "Best Practices for Feeding Young Children with Special Needs," "Bloom & Grow: Nature Play for Early Learners" and "Growing Little Communicators." Speakers will include educators from the Region 13 Education Center, a Public Health Region 6/5 Specialist, and extension professors and specialists. The cost of the workshop is $50 and includes light morning refreshments, lunch, information packet, speaker fees, handouts, cash door prizes, project materials, mailing and printing.
