Volunteers are the backbone of any organization
A few of the 13 volunteers with the Seniors Together-Columbus program, a program initiative of Three Crosses Ministries, have a good time being part of something that is a win-win for everyone. Volunteers volunteer for a reason. They have a sense of community and a love for the project they are working on. Volunteers are the backbone, but donations and sponsorships keep the skin in the game. Many nonprofits, such as Habitat for Humanity and Meals on Wheels, are hurting because of governmental budget cutbacks and an increase in needed services. Support your local nonprofit.
