FAYETTE COUNTY — Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputy Cody Williams recently conducted a traffic stop on Interstate-10 for a traffic violation.
After the driver gave consent to search the 2022 Volkswagen Jetta, Williams found a false compartment that held 10 bundles of field-tested cocaine. David Al berto Gonzalez, 33, and Carla Ibet Gonzalez, 40, both of Laredo, were arrested and charged with Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Fayette County Drug Interdiction Investigator David Smith assisted at the scene.
