Chris Dale of League City, left, and Lauren MacQueen of Houston, took first and second place, respectively, at the first Hruska's Store and Bakery Kolache Eating Competition in Ellinger on Jan. 18. Dale wolfed down 18 cream cheese kolaches in 10 minutes - and kept them down. This fun event is already in the planning stages for next year. Hruska’s is located at 109 W.
