Across the tri-county, three school superintendents had their contracts extended.

La Grange Independent School District extended Andy McHazlett a three-year contract and a five percent increase as superintendent of schools for La Grange.

Schulenburg ISD extended Su- perintendent Lee Hafley's contract by one year.

He began in May 2025 with a three-year contract. A unanimous vote by the school board extended the contract to terminate in June 2029 and a $10,000 raise in salary.

Weimar ISD met on Jan. 19 and extended Superintendent Chase Seelke's contract through 2029. The school board voted to remove his travel and cell phone allowances, and, in return, the district will pay 60% of Seelke’s Texas Retirement System member contributions.
