Columbus boy’s hoops hanging strong

The Columbus High School boy’s basketball team has a record well above .500.

What’s even more impressive is that they haven’t lost a game in district play.

They recently went on a 10-game win streak, going undefeated for the entire month of January.

It’s been said that Columbus is known for having great athletes in a bunch of sports and they are showing what they’re capable of when it comes to basketball.

First-year head coach Chris Carruthers has the Cardinals playing like he’s been the coach for years with the kind of chemistry this team has.

Columbus is fundamentally sound, but they also have playmakers that know how to score.

If they keep on this kind of scorching pace, we could see a team that makes it to state for the second year in a row.
