SCHULENBURG —
Schulenburg police officers saw a vehicle without a license
plate going north in the 900 block of Herder Ave. on Jan.
29, at about 9 a.m. in Schulen-
burg. Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop as the ve hicle neared Highway. 90. The vehicle accelerated eastbound onto Highway 90. Officers chased the vehicle with speeds in excess of 130 miles per hour before the vehicle stopped just inside of Colorado County.
As the driver got out of the vehicle and was arrested, he
said his young daughter was in the vehicle with him. The mother showed up and took custody of the child. A search of the vehicle revealed a usable amount of marijuana.
Treyvon Phillips, 27, of
Schulenburg, was arrested for Bond Forfeiture Warrant - Theft of a Firearm, evading arrest/detention with a ve hicle, abandoning/endanger child with imminent danger of bodily injury and possession of marijuana, less than two ounces.
The Colorado County Sheriff's Office assisted in the arrest.
