Stolen Polaris Ranger recovered thanks to vigilant neighbors

Austin County Sheriff’s Office responded to a bur glary of a habitation in the New Ulm area off Bernardo Road on Jan. 23.

A Polaris Ranger was among the missing items taken in the burglary.

Vigilant neighbors in Colorado County reported a male driving an ATV down the roadway and then hiding it in the woods on property that did not belong to the subject.

The Colorado County Sheriff's office responded to the location and the stolen Polaris Ranger was located along with multiple other stolen items removed from the Austin County residence.

Austin County Inves tigator Damon Hagen and Lt. Vicki Minyard, Colo- rado County Investigators Andrew Weido and Randy Mican, along with CCSO deputies, executed an Austin County felony arrest warrant for probation viola tions related to the theft of property on Quincy Janzen.

Because of additional stolen property recovered, two additional felony warrants were issued by Austin County and two additional felony warrants were issued by Colorado County.
