HALLETTSVILLE — The Victoria Diocese KC Free Throw Contest was held on Sunday, Feb. 15 at Sacred Heart School Gym in Hallettsville.
Winners from District 190 (Weimar, Columbus, Schulenburg) included:
•Nine Year Olds — Cora Jones, third place, girls; and Simon Seydler, first place, boys.
•10 Year Olds — Kinsley Martella, first place, girls; and Mason Bittner, second place, boys.
•11 Year Olds — Brigham Osburn, first place, boys.
•12 Year Olds — Hannah Bartos, second place, girls; and Hayes Kloesel, first place, boys.
•13 Year Olds — Brynn Pilat, first place, girls; and Josiah Okeke, third place, boys.
The first place winners advance to the Texas State Free Throw Contest on Saturday, March 7 at Ed White Middle School at 7800 Mid Crown in San Antonio.
Gym will open at 7 a.m. with registration and warmup from 7:30 to 9 a.m.
Competition will follow after the opening prayer.
