John Everett Chapter names 2026 Good Citizens winners

The John Everett Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution honored four high school students with the Good Citizens Award at its Feb. 9 meeting. Good Citizens Commit - tee Chair Jana Semler of Schulen - burg, had the winners introduce themselves and their guests. Semler explained, "The DAR Good Citizens program recog - nizes high school seniors who display outstanding qualities of dependability, service, leadership and patriotism in their homes, schools and communities." Each school's DAR Good Cit - izen received a DAR Good Citi - zens lapel pin, certificate, grad -

uation cord, and $50 from the Chapter. Each of these bright, ac - complished and very busy young people spoke to the Chapter about their activities and aspirations, highlighting their personal qual - ities of dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism. Timber Janak of Sacred Heart High School, Victor Hernan - dez of Weimar High School and Joe Luke Morales of Rice High School. The National Society Daugh - ters of the American Revolution is a well known national service organization. Any woman is eligi - ble to join.
