The Weimar High School girl’s basketball team’s great season came to and end February 20 after a playoff loss to Burton High School by a final score of 57-45. They had beaten Bartlett High School in a playoff match the week before in a nail biter with a 60-57 final.
There is plenty to look forward to with this team, especially with head coach Jenny Fricke still at the helm. Fricke knows the ins and outs of the game very well and it rubs off on her players, who are already good athletes to begin with. The Lady Wildcats have great shooting as well. Weimar will be just fine heading into the ’26-’27 season and will probably be just as good, if not better.
