Members of the Extension Education Association of Austin County are ahead of the curve by preparing for their 2026 Christmas parties at local nursing homes.
Several members met recently to begin assembling party favors designed especially for nursing home residents.
These work sessions allow members to collaborate, share ideas, and prepare cheerful, practical, and meaningful items, ensuring that each item reflects care, dignity, and the spirit of the
season. The finished party favors will be shared during December 2026 nursing home visits, where members will also spend time visiting with residents and offering companionship during the holidays.
This annual outreach effort highlights Austin County EEA’s ongoing commitment to service and community connection, reminding all involved that simple acts of kindness can make a lasting difference during the Christmas season.
