The Fayetteville High School girl’s basketball team’s season came to an end Feb. 24 after a loss to Broaddus by a final score of 83-35.
After struggling to begin the year, this team really bounced back in the later months of the season as they won 11 out of their last 12 games in the month of January.
Head coach Marcus Sodek has mentioned he knows this team really well as he also took over the head coaching role of the volleyball team this past year after spending a long time as an assistant for the team.
Sodek has also coached basketball for a long time and has had a lot of success, so it’s not a surprise to see Fayetteville improve throughout the rest of the season.
