Schulenburg boy's hoops finishes season strong

The Schulenburg High School boy’s basketball team finished their sea son Feb. 27 with a loss to Hearne High School by a fi nal score of 65-40, but they finished on a positive note by winning their last nine games in a row.

After a slower start to the season, this team was able to figure it out when it mattered most and posted an overall record of 24-10 and 11-1 in district play.

Head coach Rich Hoogendoorn seems to get the most out of his players, whether they’re underclassmen or upperclassmen.

This team also knows how to play together while having the ability to score and make plays.

Schulenburg is in great hands if they continue to play this kind of basketball.
