LIONS DANCE CLUB TO HOLD DANCE SEALY — The Lions Sealy Dance will be held on Saturday, March 7 at the Sealy American Legion Hall located at 1630 Meyer St. in Sealy. The band, Lost Cause, will be providing live music from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. The public is always welcome.

ST. ROCH TO HOST BLOOD DRIVE MENTZ — St. Roch will hold a blood drive Wednesday, March 11 from 2 to 7 p.m. at the Parish Hall in Mentz. Call Linda Venghaus for appointment at 979-877-8984 or go online to Gulf Coast Blood. Walk-ins are welcome.

C.H.A.M.P. FRIDAY FISH FRIES SET

SEALY -C.H.A.M.P. will hold their Friday fish fries through April 3 at Lifebridge Church (formerly Othie’s) at 2162 FM 2187 Rd. in Sealy. Serving from 4:30 to 7:15 p.m. Fried fish plates are $14 each. New item this year is grilled fish plate at $16 each. The event is drive-thu only.

KC TO HOLD FISH FRIES

SEALY — The Sealy Knights of Columbus announce the return of their annual Famous Lenten Fish Fry, at the Sealy Columbus Club Hall at 1310 Hwy 90 West in Sealy, every Friday during Lent. Serving drive thru only, from 5:30 to 7:15 p.m., for only $15 a plate. Cash or most ma - jor credit cards accepted. Menu will include fried fish, French fries, pinto beans, coleslaw and hush puppies.

Proceeds will benefit Sealy KC programs.

ARROWHEAD ARTIFACT SHOW SET EL CAMPO — The thrid annual Wharton County Arrowhead Artifact Show will be held Saturday, March 7 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Knights of Columbus Hall at 1458 Country Road 406 (Armory Road) in El Campo.

FRELSBURG KC PLANS FISH FRYS FRELSBURG - The Frelsburg Knights of Colum bus Council No. 5157 will sponsor its Friday Night Fish Fries, March 6-27, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Sts. Peter & Paul Diamond Center in Frelsburg. The catfish meals, dine in or plates to go, are $15 per plate and fish by the pound $15 per pound. Homemade desserts will be available by St. Anne's Altar Society. Raffle tickets will be available.

HABITAT TO HOLD FUN RUN

COLUMBUS - Colorado County Habitat for Hu - manity will hold its first 5K run/1 mile fun walk, cele brating 30 years of service, sponsored by the Wellness Council,vSaturday, March 28, from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m., at 1210 Travis St. in Columbus. Proceeds will support Habitat’s New Home Program and Critical Home Repairs for senior citizens. Community members are invited to sponsor the event, run the 5K, or walk the 1-mile course with family and friends. T-shirts and swag bags will be available. The family-friendly event is held in partnership with the Columbus Country Market and the Wellness Council Health Fair, offering additional activities for the community.

IVFD TO HOLD BARBECUE

INDUSTRY — The Industry Volunteer Fire & Rescue drive-thru barbecue chicken and sausage plates will be served Sunday, March 8 at the Firemen’s Park at Highway 159 in Industry. Advance only meal tickets will be sold for $15 per plate. Pick up plates from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tickets may be purchased by Thursday, March 5 from any firefighter, from local businesses or call 979357-2390 and leave message.

TX EXES HOLD SCHOLARSHIP FUNDRAISER ROUND TOP — The University of Texas at Austin Fayette County Texas Exes Scholarship Fundraiser will be held Saturday, March 7 at 11 a.m. Enjoy a barbecue meal, dessert and silent auction at the Round Top Rifle Hall in Round Top. Guest speaker is Arleas Upton Kea, president and chair, Texas Exes Board of Directors. Tickets are $50 per person. Special guest is Robert Jones, Texas Exes ceo.
