LA GRANGE — The 28th Annual Best Little Quilt Show in Texas, hosted by the Colorado Valley Quilt Guild, kicked off on Feb. 27 at the Columbus KC Hall in La Grange with a patchwork of ribbons being given out.

The Best of Show went to Susan LaCroix of Austin, quilted by Angela McCorkle. Judge’s Award went to Debbie Huebel of Schulenburg; Judges’s Award (Broussard) went to Macia Albers of Giddings; Pride of La Grange Artisan-Barbara Schellberg, of La Grange and quilted by Holly Dee Quilts; Pride of La Grange Professional-Anita Todd of Praha; Past Show Chair Theme Artisan-Sharon Haechten, of Columbus and quilted by Kathi Babcock; Past Show Chair Theme Professional - Katy Thuet of Columbus; Outstanding Contemporary Professional - Kathi Babcock of La Grange; Texas Quilt Museum Award - Marcia Albers of Giddings; Outstanding Traditional Artisan - Debbie Huebel of Schulenburg; Outstanding Traditional Professional - Linda Polk of Muldoon and quilted by Denise Green Winners of first, second, third, and honorable mentions across numerous quilting categories can be found on coloradovalleyqg.com.

Quilts of many colors can be seen each year. Public is invited.
