SEALY — The Sealy Knights of Columbus announce the return of their annual Famous Lenten Fish Fry, at the Sealy Columbus Club Hall at 1310 Hwy 90 West in Sealy, every Friday during Lent. Serving drive thru only, from 5:30 to 7:15 p.m., for only $15 a plate. Cash or most major credit cards accepted. Menu will include fried fish, French fries, pinto beans, coleslaw and hush puppies. Proceeds will benefit Sealy KC programs.

FRELSBURG KC PLANS FISH FRIES FRELSBURG — The Frelsburg Knights of Columbus Council No. 5157 will sponsor its Friday Night Fish Fries, through March 27, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Sts. Peter & Paul Diamond Center in Frelsburg. The catfish meals, dine in or plates to go, are $15 per plate and fish by the pound $15 per pound. Homemade desserts will be available by St. Anne’s Altar Society. Raffle tickets will be available.

HABITAT TO HOLD FUN RUN

COLUMBUS — Colorado County Habitat for Humanity will hold its first 5K run/1 mile fun walk, celebrating 30 years of service, sponsored by the Wellness Council, Saturday, March 28, from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m., at 1210 Travis St. in Columbus. Proceeds will support Habitat’s New Home Program and Critical Home Repairs for senior citizens. Community members are invited to sponsor the event, run the 5K, or walk the 1-mile course with family and friends. T-shirts and swag bags will be available. The family-friendly event is held in partnership with the Columbus Country Market and the Wellness Council Health Fair, offering additional activities for the community.

MEN’S/WOMEN’S CLUB TO HOLD BBQ/BAKE SALE

LA GRANGE — The St. James Episcopal Men’s Club (Holy Smokers) will hold a barbecue and the Episcopal Women’s will hold a bake sale Saturday, March 14, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. or until sold out, at 156 N. Monroe St. across from H-E-B in La Grange. A half chicken is $6 and sausage link is $7, drive through only. This barbecue is for the benefit of Citizens on Patrol.

CCC PRESENTS “COME WALK WITH ME” COLUMBUS — “Come Walk With Me, Through the Passion and Resurrection of Christ” will be presented by the Columbus Community Choir, a ministry of the Columbus First United Methodist Church, Palm Sunday, March 29 at 5 p.m. at the Columbus High School Auditorium.

SUPPLY DRIVE FOR ANIMAL SHELTER The Fayette County Texas Exes will be hosting a supply drive during the month of March to support the Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter in La Grange. Please help by donating the following items: bleach, window cleaner, disinfectant wipes, latex gloves, 409/ Lysol disinfectant cleaner, paper towels, 35 gallon trash bags, 55 gallon heavy duty (2 mil) trash bags, puppy pads, copy paper, post-it notes, dry erase markers, and sharpies. Donations can be dropped off at the following locations: Jones Insurance Services and Texas One Stop in La Grange, Round Top Real Estate, Shorty’s in Winchester, Flatonia Baptist Church, Schulenburg Family Fitness Center, Joe’s Place, Orsak’s Café and Vintage Rose Market in Fayetteville.
