MOULTON — St. Joseph’s Church in Moulton is continuing the age-old tradition of the Moulton Easter Picnic. It is scheduled for Easter Sunday, April 5, at the St. Joseph’s Social Center in Moulton.
It begins with Mass at 10 a.m. in the church, followed by the blessing of the Easter baskets and an Easter Egg Hunt for the children.
At 10:30 a.m., the famous Moulton fried chicken din ner with all the trimmings will be served at $15 a plate.
There will be plates to go and fried chicken to go.
Activities inside the Social Center will include a cake walk and Bingo. The live auction begins at 1 p.m. and features quilts, woodcrafted and metalcrafted items, plants, antiques, and more.
Music by Ken Brothers at 10 a.m. and Shiner’s 2nd Wind at 1:30 p.m. will get your toes tapping.
Outdoor fun will include the country store, a plant walk, ball throw and other games.
There will be plenty of refreshments, snow cones, popcorn, and sausage.
Shuttle service from the church parking lot to and from the Social Center will be provided.
