Andrea Rosales receives DRT Scholarship

COLUMBUS — Members of the Dilue Rose Harris chapter, Daughters of the Republic of Texas, announced that Andrea Rosales, a senior at Columbus High School, has been awarded their scholarship for 2026. Rosales plans to attend Wharton County Junior College in the fall to pursue a career in dentistry.

Throughout her high school career, she has been actively involved in a variety of clubs, including Yearbook, Science Club, Spanish Club, Art Club, Leo's Club, Cardinals in Action, Cardinals for Christ, and Garden Club. She has held numerous leadership positions within these organizations, demonstrating her commitment and initiative. Rosales is also a dedicated athlete, having played varsity soccer, participated in the high school drill team, and served as a student athletic trainer.

In addition to her extracurricular activities, she has been employed by Big Easy Ranch for the last 2.5 years. Rosales completed a summer internship at Blinn College and currently serves as a Magnolia Belle and senior advisor for her class. She has also contributed over 80 hours of community service.

Rosales exemplifies the qualities of a hardworking and community-oriented student and her scholarship is a testament to her dedication and achievements.
