COLUMBUS — The annual National Day of Prayer is set for Thursday, May 7, at the Colorado County Courthouse in Columbus from noon to 1 p.m. All are invited to this sacred time as prayers are lifted up throughout the nation on this day.
This year’s theme is Glorify God Among the Nations.
Special prayers will focus on church, family, education, business/workplace, military, government, arts, entertainment and media.
Established by Congress in 1952, the President signs a proclamation each year designating the first Thurs day in May as a day for Americans of all faiths to pray for the nation.
