Tri-county athletes competing at the TAPPS State Track & Field Meet from Faith Academy from Bellville Friday and Saturday, May 8 and 9 at Waco-Midway High School in the boys events include Ethan Stebent, 3200 and 1600; Jackson Dunn, 110 meter hurdles; Brody August, 200 dash; 4X2 relay team Josh Stark, Kelton Galle, Jackson Dunn and Brody August. Participating in the girls events include Peyton Eckermann, discus and shot put; Eve Hyslop, high jump; Kate Lanham, 100 meter dash; and Lilly Sewell, 100 meter hurdles.
Athletes participating in the UIL State Track & Field Meet will be Thursday through Saturday, May 14-16 at Mike A. Myers Stadium at the University of Texas in Austin.
Events Thursday in 4A boys include Steven Schwartz, Sealy, 100 meter hurdles and 300 meter hurdles; Elijah Sanders, Sealy, 100 meter hurdles; Bryce Mack, Sealy, 100 meter dash and 200 meter dash; Adarius Hutchison, Bellville, long jump; and Jeffrey Ward, Bellville, triple jump.
Participating in the 4A girls events include Macie Collier, La Grange, 300 meter hurdles; and Ryanne Meyer, Sealy, high jump.
Friday events from Weimar for 2A girls include Addison Olive, 400 meter dash; and Locklyn Tolbert, high jump.
Competing Saturday from Fayetteville in the 1A boys events include Mason Fenhaus, 800 meter run; Cole Jurecka, 110 meter hurdles; and in the girls events from Fayetteville is Camber Denham, high jump.
