HOSTYN MAYFEST SET FOR SUNDAY LA GRANGE — The Queen of the Holy Rosary Church-Hostyn Mayfest will be held Sunday, May 3 at 936 FM 2436 in La Grange. Mass will begin at 10 a.m. Barbecue pork and sausage meal will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at $15 per plate. Drive-thru serving line for plates to go is 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at $15 per plate. Hamburgers will be available after 3 p.m. The event will include an auction beginning at 1 p.m. Bingo from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m., silent auction, music and games throughout the day.
FLAG DISPOSAL DROP OFF LOCATIONS LA GRANGE — The Texas Heroes Museum located at 171 S. Main in La Grange accepts old flags for proper disposal. The drop-off bin located inside the museum is open 1 to 4 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, and 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday. If leaving flags outside the door when the museum is closed, please put them in a plastic bag or a box so that they are not laying on the ground.
FOOD BANK TRUCK IN LEDBETTER LEDBETTER — The Central Texas Food Bank Truck will be in the parking lot of Waldeck Lutheran Church Saturday, May 16 from 10 to 11 a.m. near the intersection of FM 1291 and FM 2145. Food distribution will be drive-thru method. Clients need to clean out the back seats, trunks, and truck beds to make room for the boxed food. It is for Fayette County residents.
HOT DOGS & BAKE SALE SLATED ELLINGER — The St. John Lutheran Church of Ellinger will have hot dogs and bake sale Saturday, May 9 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the church located at 110 W. KC TO HOLD SHRIMP BOIL
FAYETTEVILLE — The Fayetteville/Ellinger Knights of Columbus Council No. 3168 are holding their 26th Annual Shrimp Boil Friday, May 15 under the pavilion at St. John’s Catholic Church at 207 E. Bell St. in Fayetteville.
