Dr. Carl Dahlberg to speak on GLP-1 & weight loss
COLUMBUS —“Weight Loss & GLP-1: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly” will be the topic for The Wellness Council’s community education seminar on May 14, noon to 1 p.m., at the Colorado County Courthouse, 1st Floor Courtroom in Columbus.
This informative and timely presentation by Dr. Carl Dahlberg, M.D., FACP, FCCP, will address the rapidly growing use of GLP-1 medications, which have moved from diabetes management to weight loss.
This presentation will provide a balanced, easy-to-understand overview of medications such as Ozempic, Wegovy, Zepbound and Mounjaro, which have gained national attention as their use has in- creased significantly in just the past few years.
While these medications clearly have benefits, they also come with potential risks and side effects.
Dahlberg (Columbus Medical Clinic) will discuss: •How these medications work;
