WEIMAR — A vehicle was involved in an accident with a Union Pacific train in Weimar on May 9, about 11 a.m., during the Gedenke parade.
The vehicle stalled on the railroad tracks, and the sole occupant attempted to push it off. Unable to remove the vehicle before the train ap -
proached, the male driver fled the scene prior to im pact.
The collision occurred at the S. Eagle crossing, and the vehicle was pushed through two additional rail - road crossings before ulti - mately coming to rest near
the South Mechanic cross -
ing.
No injuries were report -
ed. The scene was cleared in about three hours.
