Location (Vote Centers).
Colorado County is op -
erating Vote Centers for the Joint Primary Runoff Elec - tion. That means you can vote at any open polling place in the county, regardless of your precinct. Choose the location that's most convenient - five locations across the county. There is both a Republi -
can runoff and a Democratic runoff this year. However, you may only participate in one, based on your earlier primary activity. Sample ballots are located on the Colorado County web - site, or you can stop by the an - nex or election center and pick up a copy. Texas law says that once you vote in a party's primary, you are affiliated with that par - ty for the rest of the calendar year for all primary-related activities.
Here's what that means: If you voted in the Repub - lican Primary, you may only vote in the Republican Runoff.
If you voted in the Dem - ocratic Primary, you may only vote in the Democratic Runoff.
If you did not vote in either primary, you may choose either party's runoff - but only one.
You cannot vote in one party's primary and the other party's runoff.
