Although they’ve been close in recent years, Columbus head softball coach Alfred Rosa's vision of making it to state has finally come true.
The Columbus High School softball team had a state semifinal bout with Grandview High School May 20 at Concordia University Texas in Austin.
Game two followed immediately after game one and a third game will be played, if needed, noon Saturday, May 23 at Granger High School.
This is something that has been talked about with Columbus softball making it to state because they’ve had the teams to do it, they just needed to get over that hump of making it to state.
Now they’ve made it and they have their eyes set on bringing the trophy back to Columbus.
