COLUMBUS – If you know Columbus, you know Shelley Janik.
Born and raised in Columbus, Janik has become one of the most loved and recognizable faces in the community through her dedication, kindness, and tireless work ethic.
For the past eight years, she has served as executive director of the Columbus Chamber of Commerce, helping support local businesses, tourism, and community events. Alongside her husband, James, and her children, Hayley Gustus and Zachary Janik, she continues to pour her heart into the town she has always called home.
One of her biggest roles each year is her work behind the scenes of the Magnolia Days Festival. While festivalgoers see the fun, music, food, and activities, what many do not see are the countless hours of planning and coordination she handles to make it all happen.
From vendors and rentals to entertainment, schedules, and last-minute problem solving, she keeps the festival running from start to finish.
The truth is simple: Magnolia Days would not happen without Shelley Janik.
Her dedication to this community is unmatched, and Columbus is incredibly lucky to have her.
