WEIMAR — Texas Parks and Wildlife De - partment and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension will be hosting a Wildlife Diseases Workshop on Friday, June 12, from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Weimar Civic Center in Weimar.
Speakers include Dr. Hunter Reed, senior wildlife vet with Texas Parks and Wildlife and Dr. Marcus Blum, an associate profes - sor with Texas A&M. The workshop will cover New World screwworm, avian influenza, chronic wasting disease, and other diseases
that have been making re - cent headlines. A wildlife rehabilitator will also be on site to discuss the reha- bilitation process and the precautions taken when an animal is suspected of being diseased.
Registration will be from 12:30 to 1 p.m. One (1) CEU will be offered to pri - vate pesticide applicators. There is no charge for this program. Snacks and refreshments will be pro - vided. Contact Katie Edwards at 979-732-3458 for more information.
