The Navidad Valley Cat - tleWomen (NVCW) recently awarded 11 scholarships to class of 2026 high school graduates from Colorado, Fayette and La- vaca counties. Due to the gen -
erous support of the community of the NVCW 5K Ranch Run in August 2025, CattleWomen were able to award $12,000. All scholarship recipients have an interest pursuing agriculture and will be attending either a Texas trade school, two year or fouryear college.
The Navidad Valley Cat - tleWomen, a local chapter of the Texas Cattlewomen, is a non-profit organization that sup - ports and promotes the beef in - dustry. The Navidad Valley lo - cal works to support local youth with scholarships and provide quality information on the in- dustry and how to incorporate beef into a healthy diet.
Additionally, they work to support the community with targeted outreach projects that include a beefy twist.
