EAGLE LAKE — One of Eagle Lake's most cherished traditions will once again light
up the summer sky as the Eagle Lake Fireworks Show returns on
Friday, July 3, at 1099 Calhoun Road in Eagle Lake, just outside of town.
This year's celebration carries special meaning as the communi - ty joins the nation in marking the 250th anniversary of American Independence. Organizers say the milestone has inspired an even greater sense of pride, gratitude and hometown spirit.
The Eagle Lake Fireworks Show is unique among Inde -
pendence Day celebrations. It is planned, funded and produced
entirely by local volunteers, with no corporate sponsors, paid com - mittee or outside organizations.
Every dollar contributed goes di- rectly toward the fireworks that families enjoy each year.
As usual, there will be patriot -
ic music and family-friendly gath- ering time leading up to the show. The fireworks are scheduled to begin at 9:15 p.m.
Event organizers encourage families to arrive early, bring
lawn chairs, picnic baskets and enjoy an evening that has become a beloved tradition for local residents as well as friends and neighbors from communities all around the area.
"This show has always been about community … neighbors coming together to celebrate the blessings of freedom and the place we call home," said organiz - ers. "This 250th anniversary year makes it even more meaningful." The event is free to the public. Donations are welcomed to help support the cost of the show each year.
