Second Chance Emporium (SCE) recently donated $16,000 to Career Tracks. Monies granted will be used to fund the Fayette County Care and Response Training Initiative, which will train five certified nursing assistants and five emergency medical technicians. The mission of the organization is to engage, empower, and employ citizens in rural communities in Central Texas by connecting job seekers to industry-based credentialed courses and assisting in job placement. On hand for the presentation were, from left, Marlene Schnell, SCE assistant store director; Brenda Hernandez, Career Tracks program manager and Darlene Strahan, SCE assistant store director.
