COLORADO COUNTY -As part of the statewide voter registration database change made by the Texas Secretary of State last year, Colorado County discov -
ered that permanent jury exemptions did not transfer correctly into the new system. Our office is current - ly manually re-entering all permanent exemptions to ensure the records are accurate.
If you receive a jury summons and even if you pre - viously signed a permanent exemption, do not ignore the summons. Please call the court clerk and let them know you have already filed a permanent exemption. They will verify your status and excuse you from that specific summons.
Remember: A jury summons applies only to that one court date. It does not automatically apply to future summonses.
