COLUMBUS — It's Christmas in July, and Santa is making a special summer stop in Columbus.
Columbus Historical Preservation Trust (CHPT), in partnership with the Columbus Chamber of Commerce, invites the community to Santa's Summer Vacation on Saturday, July 25 from 4 to 6 p.m., at Hound Song Brewing Co. in Columbus.
Sponsored by Medical Skin Associates, this free family event is held in conjunction with the Columbus Country Market's “Christmas in July” celebration, offering a full day of festive fun, local shopping, and holiday cheer at the halfway point to Christmas.
Before the festivities begin at Hound Song Brewing Co., visitors are encouraged to tour the Santa Claus Museum, which will open for special hours from 1 to 4 p.m.
Home to more than 5,500 Santas, ornaments, artwork, needlepoint, music boxes, and other holiday treasures, the museum has experienced tremendous growth in recent years thanks to generous donors across the region, making each visit a new experience.
Visitors from around the world have come to see the world-famous Santa Claus Museum and view its rich history of Santas.
Santa's Summer Vacation at Hound Song Brewing Co. brings the magic of Christmas—and Santa himself—to the heart of Columbus.
Families can meet Santa during his summer vacation pit stop to decorate cookies, participate in a coloring contest complete with prizes, write letters to Santa, and enjoy an after- noon filled with Christmas spirit.
The event will take place from 4 to 6 p.m., admission is free, and everyone is invited to experience a little holiday magic.
Several local vendors will also be present at the event, providing the perfect opportunity to shop small and get a head start on holiday gift-giving.
